Community Bus

The community bus provides door-to-door service within certain areas not served by the fixed-route service. Passengers will have an opportunity to travel to major exchange points and transfer to and from conventional Comox Valley Transit service.

Booking a Trip

You must book your trip at least two working days before travel. Call during office hours. To cancel, call or leave a voicemail after hours.

There are two types of bookings accepted:

  • One-time trips: trips for other purposes such as shopping, social visits or recreational activities.
  • Regular trips: for trips once a week or more often, such as for therapy appointments or to and from work.

Community Bus Service

The times listed below show the approximate times when service will be available to Cape Lazo/Point
Holmes area and Huband Road/Seal Bay areas.

Service operates Monday through Friday, excluding Statutory Holidays. When you book your trip, the dispatcher will provide you with an estimate of your pick up and drop off time. The dispatcher will also help you coordinate transfers onto the fixed-route Comox Valley Transit system.

Adults, seniors, students: $2.00
Child, 4 and under: Free
Attendants (needed to help you travel): Free

Transfers

It is free to transfer from the community bus service to other trips operated by Comox Valley Transit. Ask your driver for a transfer.

If you are transferring from the conventional transit system to community bus, ask your driver for a transfer and then pay the difference when you board the community bus.
