The City of Kimberley and BC Transit are announcing route number changes and a service expansion to the Kimberley Transit System.
Route number changes will be in effect as per the following:
- 1 Kimberley/Cranbrook will change to 21 Kimberley/Cranbrook
- 2 KC Commuter will change to 22 KC Commuter
- 3 Peak to Platzl Ski Shuttle will change to 23 Peak to Platzl Ski Shuttle
- 4 On-Request Service will change to 24 On-Request Service
Service expansion changes include:
- Additional service on route 21 Kimberley/Cranbook, providing service on Mondays to match the Tuesday to Friday schedule
- Two additional trips on route 22 KC Commuter, one in the morning and one in the evening on weekdays
The service expansion was based on feedback from the public through an online survey conducted in 2017 and a follow-up survey conducted in early 2019.
