2022 Transit Redevelopment Strategy

In the spring of 2022 the Transit Redevelopment Study was adopted by the Regional District of Nanaimo. The plan outlines transit improvements that focus on developing improved conventional transit services over the next five years. The service and infrastructure proposals are based on analysis, best practices, and feedback heard from transit customers, staff and citizens in the project’s public engagement.

70 NCX – Nanaimo – Cowichan Express

On March 28 2022 the Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) and Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) began providing interregional service available Monday to Saturday for customers travelling between the Cowichan Valley and Nanaimo. The service will operate on Easter Monday and Boxing Day on Saturday service level.
