Summer service change in Victoria region

BC Transit and the Victoria Regional Transit Commission are advising customers of some seasonal changes in the Victoria region, effective July 1, 2024.

Due to an increase in demand during the summer months, there will be trips added to Route 70 Swartz Bay/Downtown. This includes additional southbound express trips that will bypass Sydney.

To improve service reliability and help with timing connections, trip times will be slightly adjusted on the following routes:

  • 46 Dockyard/Westhills
  • 52 Colwood Exch/Bear Mountain
  • 63 Otter Point
  • 64 Langford Exch/Sooke via E Sooke and Beecher Bay
  • 75 Saanichton/Royal Oak/Downtown
  • 87 Saanichton/Sidney via Dean Park
  • 88 Airport/Sidney

To meet the demands of our customers, minor seasonal adjustments have been made to the following routes:

  • 6 Royal Oak Exch/Downtown
  • 14 Vic General/UVic
  • 61 Sooke/Langford/Downtown
  • 65 Sooke/Downtown via Westhills
  • 95 Langford/Downtown Blink

As school wraps up for the summer, trips on routes that serve K – 12 school times will be removed for the season.

Route 17 will be discontinued for the summer months and return in the fall.

Please see the most current Rider’s Guide for up to date schedules.

We encourage our customers to use the Umo app, Transit App, Google Transit or any other app of their choice for real-time bus tracking and planning your next transit journey.
