Service and routing improvements head to the Vernon Regional Transit System

VERNON – Improvements to the 90 UBCO/Vernon bus route will be in place on Monday, September 28*, 2020. Two significant changes for this upcoming service change include the route 90 no longer circling the Oyama Isthmus, and, while heading south on HWY 97, the bus will take a new turn onto Innovation Drive (across from the Kelowna airport) and will utilize existing bus stops.

CORPORATE – A province-wide advertising campaign launched today, encouraging considerate etiquette on board BC Transit buses, including the wearing of face coverings (for those who have no medical issues that prevent them from doing so). The tag line “Together we ride” reminds riders that safety is a collaborative effort and endeavors to foster an environment where riders are courteous and respectful.

BC Transit selects vendor to retrofit full driver doors on existing fleet

Corporate – BC Transit has selected a vendor to complete the installation of full driver doors on existing buses in fleets outside of Victoria and the Regional District of Nanaimo. Kodiak Mobile Video Installations will complete installations of the protective doors, produced by AROW Global Corporation, in approximately 34 regional transit system locations.
