Bus security camera installation begins in Nelson

Nelson – Phased installation of closed-circuit TV (CCTV) cameras on six BC Transit buses in Nelson will begin in April. All medium- and heavy-duty buses acquired after 2005 will have the cameras installed, and new buses, 27 feet and longer, will be delivered with the cameras already factory-installed.

2 for 1 Tuesday Comes to the West Kootenays

West Kootenay – Every Tuesday in December will be a 2 for 1 Tuesday in the West Kootenays.  On these days, all passengers who bring a travel buddy on board will pay only one fare. All fare products will be accepted, including cash and monthly passes, for the 2 for 1 program.
